About
Pelvic health and wellness
My name is April Gutierrez and I have been a physical therapist for 20 years. I have extensive experience treating patients with spine conditions and women’s health issues. In addition, I’ve been a manually certified therapist for 19 years. I have also earned the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) through the American Physical Therapy Association. My belief in alternative therapies led me to complete a certification in the Mercier technique for infertility. I enjoy learning about natural healing of the body and sharing this with my patients.
Pelvic Balance Physical Therapy encompasses healing of the body through natural treatments and hands on techniques. Our bodies function more efficiently when there is balance within the body and my treatments focus on restoring balance. I believe in one-on-one care and designing a treatment plan that is unique to each individual. I also strive to educate patients to help them reach their optimal level of function.
The Pelvic Balance Physical Therapy difference
1 on 1 care instead of being passed off to an aide or assistant
Treatment in a calm environment instead of a busy, loud office
1 hour visits instead of 30 minutes
Hands on treatment instead of just doing exercises you could do on your own or being hooked up to a machine
Purely specializing in pelvic health, not just dabbling in it
Having an understanding of how different areas of the body affect the pelvic floor instead of isolating care to one area
April has personally experienced diastasis recti and c-section recovery instead of just having professional understanding
Being given time to tell your story instead of being rushed through an appointment
A holistic approach to treatment including stress management and nutrition instead of just focusing on exercise
